GET AUNTY MEKKIE HOME.
Dear family, friends all around the world this is the story of Maria Oliver my MOM, or as we all call her back home in South Africa Aunty MEKKIE.
It all started 1988 February 29. When she gave birth to me her only child Cheslyn williams.raised me as a single parrent in Capetown South Africa
When I finally finished college and got the opportunity to come cook in America she always use to tell me, " my child never forget mommy or where you come from.
Well to the present. When me and my wife and our little four year old boy Hezekiah got a chance to return to America Colorado for the summer season as H2B line cooks. We jumped at the chance, to bring my MOM over with us to look after her grand son.
If happiness was a picture it was us as a family getting our visas to live together for 6 months as a family. And making this dream come True of bringing Hezekiah and Aunty Mekkie.
Myself,Stacey and Hezekiah flew and landed on thursday 17 April 2025.
My mom landed after all the fairwells and the tears of her sisters at the airport Friday 18 2025.
As we met her at Denver International airport she was all excited to finally be in the States.
A little out of breath but pumped up, Her first words to me "I told you chessy one day I will make it to America" also her first time flying.
We came home Stacey fixed her something to eat, she took a bath and went to lay down.
We left for the shops.
When we return home I went to check on her, and what I found I can not describe, In just 5 hours of our dream, our small family together in the US, I had 911 on speaker phone doing chest compression on my MOM, Aunty mekkie my ride or die...
Now sitting here typing this, it all seems so cold, sudden and unplanned. We now all have to return back to South Africa.
We as a family, myself, Stacey Lee and Hezekiah are faced with making sure that our mom get home to her final rest place.
And the financial involve in transporting her home is beyond comprehension in access of $10,000
I now ask for assist from all to help us as a family to get Aunty MEKKIE HOME to her resting place.
I thank all for the help and support that you has showed my family.
Thank You.
