Get Bezza a New Scooter!

Hello!! I am Tom's - aka Bezza - daughter Taylor! Myself along with other amazing members of our community are putting together this fundraiser for my dad to get a new motorized mobility scooter.

Back in August, Bezza faced an unexpected event - his scooter caught on fire during a freak rain storm event when he had to take shelter inside one of the local businesses. His scooter had to be left outside when an electrical fire in the battery occurred - the resulting damage caused the scooter to be unusable.

It's hard to put into words how much this incident has affected him. Anyone in the community who knows Bezza, knows that his scooter is how he gets around to maintain his independence after the stroke he suffered in 2012. The scooter wasn't just a mode of transportation; it was his freedom, it gave him his independence, and the ability to be an active part of this community that he has been apart of for over 60 years!

My dad tried to navigate the challenges by reaching out to his insurance, but unfortunately, they would only cover a small fraction of the cost for a new scooter. He has tried to come up with the rest of the money himself but it has been a challenge with his very limited income. My dad has received an outpouring of love from the community, family, and friends wanting to help and we thought putting together a GoFund Me account would be the easiest way to organize a way for people to help him out!
