Get Chunk the life saving care he urgently needs

We are writing this with broken hearts, asking for help to save our beautiful little boy, Chunk. Just days ago, out of nowhere, Chunk suddenly collapsed and lost all use of his legs. Our world has been turned upside down and this is a feeling i have never experienced my heart is literally breaking just wrting this. We rushed him to our vets, who have done all they can, and we’ve paid for him to stay under their care but now they’ve told us they can’t do anything more for him other than pain management. Chunk urgently needs to see a specialist neurologist and have an MRI scan to find out what’s happening to him, followed by surgery and a long recovery. But his insurance won’t cover neurology or MRIs, and the cost of it all is simply more than we can manage in one go. We feel absolutely £& utterly helpless.

To make things even harder, earlier this week we also took in a rescue pug who has severe epilepsy. She suffers from severe seizures that need constant management, and every penny we had has already gone towards her urgent veterinary care and making adjustments to the home for her safety. We had no way of knowing Chunk would collapse just days later, and now we’re left in a heartbreaking situation where both of our babies need urgent medical care at the same time, and we simply don’t have the funds to cover it all.

Chunk isn’t just a dog to us — he’s our baby his brother misses him so much! he's our shadow, our comfort through every hard day. The love we have for our dogs is unconditional, and we would move mountains to give them the happy, healthy lives they deserve. Chunk has been by our side through everything, always there with his goofy smile, silly snorts, and endless cuddles. He’s the type of dog who senses when you’re sad and presses his little head into you to make it better. To see him like this; scared, in pain, and unable to move is absolutely unbearable.

We are devastated to even have to ask for help, but we can’t give up on him. He deserves a chance to fight, and we need to do everything we can to get him that chance. If you can find it in your heart to donate anything at all, no matter how small, you will be helping to save a life that means the absolute world to us. We also want to be completely transparent any funds raised that we don’t end up needing for Chunk’s treatment will go directly towards his rehabilitation and recovery, and anything left after that will be donated straight to a trusted dog rescue or charity that supports dogs in need of critical medical intervention. We know how many animals are out there desperately needing help, and we want to pay kindness forward if we’re lucky enough to get Chunk the care he needs.
