Hello, over the last 2 weeks we noticed something wasn’t quite right with our baby girl, so we took her to the vet today (6/25/24) and found out that her liver is failing. Her eyes, skin, and gums are all yellow and she’s scratching and biting so much she’s losing fur. She’s also not eating as much as she should, losing weight, and throwing up more than she ever has. We are still waiting on her labs to come back to figure out how bad she is and how far along it is, but we are still going to have many more vet visits and medications to come.

To tell you about my baby, Trixie is about 8 years old. She was re-homed to my partner when she was a few years old from a very abusive house. We aren’t 100% sure of everything that happened but when my partner got her she was traumatized, she didn’t really like other people or dogs, wouldn’t play with any toys and flinched when you tried to toss her one, among other things. She has grown a lot since my partner got her, when I first met her she had just started to play with toys again and now she loves them (especially her lamb chop), she also loves people and getting pets and cuddles. She’s a big water bug and LOVES to go swimming at the lake or any body of water. She’s only been a part of my life for 3 years but she is my baby girl and I love her with my whole heart and I hate seeing her in pain and struggling.

At this time we aren’t fully sure how much her medical bills are going to cost but any amount of money you could give would be amazing. Thank you so much for helping my sweet baby.
