Get Facial Cancer Actor To LAMDA Drama School

Hey! my name is Crystal Marshall and I am a visible difference actor. In 2016, when I was just 18 years old, I was diagnosed with an extremely rare facial bone cancer.  To save my life my upper jaw and part of my nose had to be removed, and I lost all my confidence, I never thought I’d act again.  But despite all that I’ve been through, I’ve now been accepted by a top drama school in London, and need your donations to help me overcome the one final obstacle that stands between me and my dreams…

 

My Story:

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I had to put my acting dreams on hold as I spent the next few years healing, resting, and reigniting my passion for the arts. In 2019 I decided to apply to LAMDA drama school, one of the best drama schools in the United Kingdom. I wanted to apply to this school because I wanted to be that voice for visible different actors in the entertainment industry and show the arts that the time for change, inclusion and new stories is now. On June 30th, 2020 I was offered a place to do the LAMDA Foundation Diploma starting October 2020. I was completely over the moon that I was given the opportunity to study at this drama school that I was in tears, unfortunately the fees for both the tuition and accommodation is something my mom and I cannot handle ourselves. This is why I need your help.



How you can help

The tuition fees for the LAMDA Foundation Diploma is £13,799, and to live in an accommodation near the school it is £178 per week. All together with the tuition, accommodation, and travel to my school and to my hospital for check-ups, £25,000 would help me greatly. The money we will raise together will help me get the best training needed for me to make a positive impact within the industry and any money left over will go towards the cancer community who have helped me with this journey.
