Get Fincher back on his feet

On October 4, 2016, Sergeant Andrew Fincher attempted to arrest the driver of a stolen vehicle. In that attempt, he was crushed between two vehicles and ultimately run over by the stolen vehicle that began to flee from police.
Sergeant Fincher has been in law enforcement for more than 16 years and fully intends to get back to work. His commitment to the community will not allow him to take an early retirement. He has endured a total hip replacement surgery and is committed to daily therapy and conditioning so that he can return to full duty.
This is not the first time he has suffered serious injury, fighting to get back and to serving the community with his love of policing. Unfortunately, he cannot manage the financial side of things without our support. Anyone who knows the man, knows he will overccome any physical, mental or emotional challenge. The bills, however, show little mercy. By supporting Sergeant Fincher, we will be providing peace of mind to him as it comes to his home life and family.
For a man that has and continues to sacrafice his life selflessly, many would argue that this is the path he chose. You would be right. Many could never have the courage to do so, and with a smile!
Sergeant Fincher can almost always be seen with a smile on his face. His energy and abilityto find the good in every person and situation is amazing. How many of us can say that we would have the courage to forgive the person that nearly killed you? That is exactly what he did in court - faced, forgave and prayed for the person that took him from his normal life, his community he serves and from his everyday responsibilities as a father.
A broken hip couldn't eveb keep him at home when there was someone else out there in need. Struggling through his pain and before surgery, he proudly and lovingly particiapted in "Santa Cop" giving back to children that are often forgotten yet many would never know due to their ability to wear a smile everyday. They are not the ones to complain or have attitudes; they are smiling and living life. Sergeant Fincher shows the same - he continues to smile through all adversities, pain and sleepless nights. Anyone who knows Fincher, knows that he has a purpose in this life. To survive so much and willingly get right back up and back into it shows this purpose. He remains driven to make people smile and bring joy, unity and love in this world.
