Fraizer's Golf Journey - Against all odds

Hi, my name is Fraizer Harris and I am a 6 year old golfer from Wales in the UK.

 

I am Fundraising for my Golf career that has gotten off to an exciting start!

 

I have won 11 trophies/medals so far including the Winner's Medal at 5 U.S. Kids Championships and the "The Masters" on the British Junior golf tour. The 5 Winner's medals at the U.S. Kids events means that I have qualified for the World Championships in the USA in 2022!!!

My Golf story really kicked off when my Mum and Dad built me a golf practice area in the 1st Lockdown of 2020. I live with Cystic Fibrosis which means we were all really scared what the virus might do to me so we didn't leave the house for 12 weeks!

 

That's when I fell in love with Golf, which has been great because it keeps me outside (which I love) and it is great for my lungs :).

It's also been great for my mindset as I have to overcome doing my physiotherapy mask before I get out of the car at the course and take 50 tablets a day as well. 

 

That was the positive out of the pandemic for us and when Golf Competitions started back up we quickly realized that Golf is an expensive sport. My Mum (a hair stylist) and my Dad (a conference speaker) had their business destroyed by lockdowns and restrictions. However, I am very lucky to have 2 sets of amazing grandparents and my first sponsor (JJ All Blinds - check them out) to get me through this first year but because I've done so well it looks like some fundraising is going to be needed to get to the level I need.

*update: Wow! People have been so supportive we have been able to raise funds for an indoor practice facility because I don't do too well with my chest in the cold and wet.
