Get Freddie's Bear ‍❄

Donation protected
Freddie was born with a very rare condition called Alagille Syndrome, which is basically multi organ disease.

He was very poorly as a baby, tube fed with a stoma bag, had a liver transplant five days after his 3rd birthday and two major open heart surgeries before his 5th birthday. The last one was 16 hours long and left him fighting for his life. But in true Freddie style, he battled back and has since gone from strength to strength.

There's been many blips along the way but we have an incredible hospital team behind him!

Freddie is a hero to everyone who has the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He still has regular hospital visits and will need future open heart surgeries.
His condition is life-long but Freddie is not phased and has overcome everything he's faced medically and really is living his best life now!

Family and friends have raised lots of money for Leeds Childrens Hospital and awareness regarding organ donation.

The bear hunt has been a summer initiative around Leeds with 35 bear sculptures scattered around the city encouraging families to get outdoors and go find the bears. It's been in conjuction with the hospital and each bear has had a child's story attached.

We had lots of lovely photos sent from friends and family going to visit Freddie's bear and it's been really heartwarming to see!

The bears are leaving the streets of Leeds on 9th September, having a farewell parade around Leeds on the 17th September before finally going to auction on 28th September.

And we want Freddie's bear!

It's pretty special to have a sculpture named after you in a city and the polar bear really has become know as Freddie's bear. So it just seems the obvious thing to do! I can't imagine it being loved as much anywhere else!

Initially, the bear will be used educationally at Freddie's school as it also represents climate change and the ice caps melting - that's what the missing part of the bear visually represents.

Freddie's school are excited at the thought of homing the bear and are planning their own fundraising events to involve the children.

The bear will then have a permanent home in our garden and we can't wait to welcome it!

We have raised over £120,000 so far for numerous charities and we need your help again.

The total raised by the 28th September (auction day) will be the amount we bid and donate to Leeds Childrens Hospital Charity with the hope of being the highest bidder.

Thanks to everyone for the support and getting in board with another crazy fundraiser!

Lots of Love
