Get Gavin his teeth back.

Hi my name is Bill and I am Gavin's dad. I am a disabled American veteran and single father trying to do my best, with little to no help from Gavin's mother. Gavin lives with myself, his sister and foster brother. Gavin has Dandy Walker Syndrome which creates his unique personality that draws some traits from both the down syndrome and autistic spectrums. He is only 15 years old and just had to have 17 of his teeth removed due to decay and breakage and the rest of his teeth will need to be removed before his new teeth implants can be placed. Gavin's unique personality only allows him the cognitive functioning of a child around the age of 5 so dentures or a permanent soft food diet is not possible since he does not understand why he can not have the foods that he enjoys. His frustration with the situation has not only caused his distress at home, but has set him back at school as well. Prior to his teeth being removed he was doing well learn copeing skills and being able to remain in classes the whole day at school but since he has been struggling to even stay in school. My hope is that getting Gavin new teeth will help him return to a state of normalcy so he can again begin to progress at home and at school. Due to his sensory needs he will require general anesthesia and a hospital operating room for this procedure. It breaks my heart to have to reach out to others to help me provide for my son. We have seen a complex dental specialist and the projected cost to get Gavin new teeth so he can go back to his normal way of life is going to cost approximately $80,000 for the procedure alone. Any money raised will go directly towards Gavin's new teeth and the expenses associated with the procedure.
