Get housing for Michael

My name is Liz and I’m fundraising for Michael, a multiple exceptionality individual who is experiencing homelessness in Whitby, Ontario.

He is unable to advocate for himself and our system takes the stance of “he has the right to choose to be homeless”. This poor man was taken to hospital in an ambulance because we called 911 and the officer believed he is unable to care for himself after seeing he had soiled his pants.

At the hospital they did not treat him and I know that because this man was back on the street that night wearing the same urine soaked pants and garbage bag he was wearing when he left in an ambulance.

Unfortunately I get asked this a lot but he does not drink and he does not do drugs. We will be using funds to clothe and feed him and put a roof over his head.
