Jacob and his big brother during the two very short weeks we’ve had him home

Hi my name is Melissa.

I am trying to raise funds to take my son to Poland to see one of the world leaders in the treatment of clubbed feet. Little Jacob is only 15 months old, he’s had a tracheostomy tube in place from 4 weeks old was on a ventilator for 317 days, almost died after a horrific accident when his NJ tube burst his bowel and damaged his pancreas aswell. He’s had an insane amount of surgery’s, two of which were tenotomys to help treat his feet, this followed two gruelling casting processes, he now spends most of his day in his boots and bar. While Jacob’s feet are being treated by the NHS one of his feet aren’t properly corrected, and he severely lacks flexibility in both feet, the earlier we get better intervention the better the outcome will be for Jacob in the future, my baby has suffered enough pain as a tiny defenceless baby, and we can avoid lifelong complications and pain with proper treatment. Unfortunately this means going private and travelling to another country, but only the best for my boy✨
