Emergency relief for James Lothian

Donation protected
Updated 14th August.

Hi everyone, my names Stacey unfortunately my brother James Lothian was in a serious car accident in March 2024 in Chonburi, Thailand. James was in critical condition in ICU on a ventilator for many months with significant injuries to his liver and small intestines. James was released with ongoing daily dressing changes which then became infected. He was reviewed on multiple occasions with advice being to hold off and give his abdomen more time to improve, this however led to the infection spreading and James requiring an additional surgery to remove infected sections of his bowel. This surgery again failed, and James was diagnosed with Septicemia in August.

The hospital was unable to do an additional surgery to remove the infected intestines until o neg blood was sourced as James was to unstable. James fortunately received 6 pints of o neg blood from expat travelers and surgery was completed 14th August,

Due to James poor health, he has not eaten or drank water since May/June, he has been fed via a tube and is severely malnourished losing over 40kgs, we are awaiting Dr's review to discuss options of whether he will need to have aeromedical evacuated, medical escort or additional surgeries.

In addition, James has a young child, and a wife who lost her mother in May, she is working very hard to support their family.

Due to James being a visitor in Thailand medical bills are piling up and we are working hard to get him home safer to get good quality medical care.

Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks from the Lothian Family.
