Get Jamie to the OCR World Championships

After embarking on a fitness journey resulting in the loss of 2 stones I am now, in my fifties, fitter than I was at any point in my youth.

I have earned selection for the British National team to compete at the OCR World Championships in Costa Rica in August but I'm going to need a bit of assistance to get there.

I have been able to put in the work to ensure I'm physically able to represent but unfortunately with OCR still undergoing the process to receive official status as a sport we don't have access to the funds and sponsorship needed to get athletes to the competition.

With the competition taking place during the Summer school holidays, Ellen will need to take unpaid leave from work to look after the kids, I will also be losing a week's worth of income and I have to pay for everything connected with the trip - Entry fees, flights, transfers, accommodation and food.

As the current British OCR Champion in my age group and with 2 1st place MV50 Cat wins out of my 3 pre-season events to date, I'm confident I'm in a position to put in a strong performance at the World Champs so as much as I hate asking for help, I acknowledge that it presents the only realistic option to get me there.

Obviously I will gratefully receive any donations but I shall endeavour to earn them through various challenges including another go at the David Goggins 4x4x48.

I shall also be hosting some tasting events and masterclasses so if you want to receive information as to when and where these are happening please let me know or if you have any ideas of any other events I can use to help with my fundraising please get in touch.

I would be super-grateful if anyone has any contacts who could hook me up with some corporate sponsorship - I'm sure Tena, Saga or some local undertakers might gain something from the exploits of an old bloke pushing himself to the limit!
