Get Jun home!

Hello!

My name is Kasey, and I'm here to try and help my best friend Paola get her Dad home! (With her explicit consent of course!)

For those wondering, Paola is the youngest daughter of Mila and Jun, and whilst you may not know me, or them... or maybe you do... we need your help!

On June 20th 2024 Paola received a call from her family in the Philippines, advising that her Dad, Jun, had been rushed to hospital where he was undergoing life-saving emergency major surgery, on what we now know was an obstructed bowel. They removed his gallbladder and his appendix during the surgery, and we found out his insides (to put it simply) were "abnormal", due to congenital anomalies. None of this is the kind of news anybody wants to hear, and a shock to Paola and her family.

Being a nurse herself, working in the UK, Paola knew this was serious, and her Dad spent three days following this surgery in the Intensive Care Unit before being moved to back to a ward for further care, where he remains today. The staff have done an incredible job of taking care of Paola's father and nursing him back to health! He is making an amazing recovery and while we are ever so grateful for their care, the medical expenses have greatly exceeded what Paola and her family can afford in one hit.

Unfortunately with combined savings, they have only been able to cover approximately 60% of the medical costs (£10,000 total cost thus far), and Paola and her family are left still with £4,000 outstanding that is payable today. Yes, you heard right... Today.

Unfortunately, Jun cannot go home until the £4,000 has been paid to the hospital to cover the costs of his emergency surgery, hospital fees and stay... and this number grows every day that he's in the hospital, costing more for him to stay in a room... because he can't be released while there is still payment left to settle.

And it sucks, to put it lightly, because they just want him home.

I know for certain that they are doing everything they can to pull together funds or work a way around this, but for now, they are stuck. That's where we all step in.

So... I'm here today Sharks, asking you for any donation of any amount, so we can try and get Jun, Paola's Dad, out of hospital and free from his medical bills at that!

Any money you can spare would be so unbelievably appreciated, and will all go to paying off his hospital fees so we can get him home - with payment going straight to Paola.

Paola and her entire family cannot thank you enough for any help, and I know they don't wish to be asking for assistance under such circumstances... but I am, technically - so thank you from me too!
