UPDATE: due to having very limited options to generate income I've decided to leave this up after meeting the goal (thank you to everyone who has donated so far!). In addition to being my primary residence the apartment has become a safe haven for at-risk youth in the community, and any future donations will go to keeping that going and paying for basic necessities like food and medicine.

My name is Justine, and I am a full-time grassroots organizer currently working in the countryside of the Bicol region in the Philippines. Since May of 2021, I have been facing made up charges due to my activism & was thus forced to stop studying. Despite all of this, I am still working as an organizer mainly for the youth in the countryside.

Due to military harassment it's not always safe for me to stay with the villagers I work with, and that’s why I’m raising money to rent an apartment nearby to serve as a home base. I’m hoping to raise at least $600; this includes the 3-month deposit that the landlord is asking and everything that I need to move in.
