Get Kay Alett off the Streets
Donation protected
On the 27th of April, my close friend Kay Alett was evicted from her home and has been living out of her car ever since. Due to the current pandemic, she's been unable to find a shelter that will take in any new people, so a group of her friends, myself included have been trying to support her as much as we possibly can, but as it stands, issues are piling up faster than we can provide financially. She lives in Texas and has made the journey down from Hooks to Houston to try and find a low income rental place she can afford on her SSDI payments. Pictured above is Kay's car, which has recently broken down and is in desperate need of maintenance. Currently we're estimating a total of $700+ for the work needed to be done, but we can currently pay for roughly $450 of it. On top of that, I'd like to set her up with a few months of rent in advance, plus deposit and a bit extra to help her get settled in. I know it's a bad time for everyone now, but anything you can spare will go a very long way. Thank you so much for reading.
