Get Kaz to the UK.

Hi everyone. My name is Felicity and I’m starting this fund raiser to help get my beautiful friend Karen back to the UK to see her ailing mother. Karen (Kaz) and I first met 12 years ago at work. We were both working for a job network agency. Finding suitable and sustainable employment for our jobseekers. Kaz had a pretty tough case load as they were the most vulnerable. Long-term unemployed, mental health issues, alcoholism, ex-prison inmates. You name it, Kaz had them all. Not once did she not turn to face them and just talk, not once did she speak ill of them even if they got up in her face. Kaz worked tirelessly to assist with making a better life for them, everyday. Even so much so as finding a roof over their head, take them grocery shopping, drive them to medical appointments. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

It’s Kaz’s turn now to feel the love. She hasn’t been back to the UK in over 15 years. Her mum lives on her own over there and Kaz is an only child. It’s time, time to visit Ma. Time to hug her again. Time to see Ma smile again, and of course Kaz!
