Get Lynette Back on her feet

Hi my name is Kelsey and I am fundraising for my mom Lynette.

Since I can remember my mom has never been one to ask for help when she needs it the most . Almost a year ago we lost my dad ( step dad) Robert Pena due to cancer. Not long before that they have to claim bankruptcy due to tough times with multiple doctor bills and getting behind and dad not working. When my dad passed away my mom had been off of work for months up till the very end. Once Dad passed my mom become the only income. It took her time but she was able to slowly get back to work. When Dad passed we didn’t have a lot of help with expenses for the celebration of life or anything after that for that matter. It was a true struggle for a long time. Mom works as a courier and provides her own van which is also her only means of transportation. She’s required to do her own repairs pay for her own gas on her job etc. Back in March moms van breaks down to the point where she needs a new transmission. She cant afford a new van or even a used van with her income and all her expenses. She tries to go a cheaper route to help her save money by getting a transmission form a junk yard that ends up going not so well. Spending over 800 this route and waiting on her van for months transmission didn’t work out. She’s now out on labor and has to get it completely rebuilt which is 1,500 not including labor. At this point mom is out of work for 3 months. She is not only out money but still owes for her van repairs and currently behind on her mortgage which is another 700. She was able to recently get her van back but owes payments for the labor for getting the new rebuilt transmission. Along with the mortgage and other bills that keep pilling up. Our family as a whole has helped out as much as we can but, even with our little help she still can’t catch up. My mom has helped so many people when they need it. I’m just asking and hoping she can finally catch a break and have the help she deserves and needs.
