Our Mum, our beautful Mum, has been dealt a hand we never expected. Metastatic Breast Cancer.
After battling bowel cancer at the age of just 34 and kicking its arse, Mandy devoted her life to caring for others, first as an Auxillairy Nurse and then, after attending uni, a Nurse Practioner. This busy life she lead never ever took anything away from her family though. Mandy is the most loving and supportive mum, never failing to be the glue of our family. And just when we thought she couldnt be any more amazing, she became a Nanna to my boys, and what a blessing she is to her princes. The bond they have with both my Mum and Dad is beyond anything ive seen. Holidays at Nanna and Dandans house every summer and swimming in their pool will be memories that are cherished by Jack and Aiden forever more.
Both my Parents dreamed of retiring in Cyprus, a place they'd fallen in love with during an overseas posting with the RAF. After years of hard work, they made their dream a reality.
Their blissful bubble was unfortunatly short lived after they were told my Mums incredible strength was needed again, this time to beat breast cancer. And she did, with grace and dignity she faught this disease again and won.
Thinking the worst was behind them, and they could start living their well deserved dream, we were given the devastating news that the breast cancer had returned, and this time there would be no beating it.
Mandy has faught hard through all her treatments with the help and support of our incredible Dad, Brian. She has done such an incredible job and i will forever be in awe of her strength. But we need to bring her home now, so we can make the most of the what precious time we are blessed to have with her, so we can support each other through this and so Mandy can see her Grandchildren that love her beyond words.
Mandy is too poorly and requires too much medical assistance to travel on a commersial flight, this means hiring an air ambulance to to fullfil her wish of coming home to family.
We are not people to ask for monitary help, but the cost to get my Mum home is tens of thousands of pounds. If you can help in any way, whether it be a donation, or just by simply sharing this post, my family and i would be eternally grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
