For all friends, family, coworkers, and wine and raccoon lovers--- Marie-Noelle's surgery went great. The doctor had quickly and efficiently removed all five benign tumors in under an hour! With the largest one being 6" x 8"! Unfornately, there was a mix up between the doctor and anesthesiologist, so upon waking up from surgery Marie-Noelle did find herself in a lot of pain for over an hour until the mistake was rectified. Fellow WildCare coworkers will be happy to hear she went straight to her training and applied the "wildlife shock treatment protocol" to herself, telling the nurse she was going into shock and needed oxygen and fluids (she already had a heated blanket). After needing an extra day at the Marin General Hospital, Marie-Noelle was able to come back home after a four day stay. Ready to get cozy and comfortable in her own bed, she is currently spending a few weeks getting the rest she needs. Getting stronger and stronger every day! Very grateful for all the continued good vibes, and love expressed during her recovery! We are hoping to help her raise some money to cover her medical expenses and to help cover her bills while she is unable to work. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated!
