Get Matt Back on his Bike

Those who know and love Matthew Politano are connected to an entrepreneur, artist and avid cyclist who is always eager to share his passion for life. Unfortunately on October 18th, while riding his bike, Matt was in a very serious accident. As a result of this accident Matt underwent a 4 hour surgery for a jagged laceration.  He  has suffered serious head trauma, several fractures (two spinal vertibrae and cheekbone) and extensive nerve damage. Matt was in an induced coma in ICU for several days and has only recently started to recognize those closest to him. In the last week a picture of his overall state is starting to emerge, as well as hints of his cheeky sense of humour. With input from his incredible health care team, and the strides he is making, we are all optimistic that Matt will be, at some point, back to his life as he knew it.

 

What we don't know is how long it is going to take, but it will be months, not days or weeks. Like all of us Matt has expenses, and of course it will be some time before he will be recovered enough to get back to full time work.   Additionally Matt is going to incur the substantial costs of long term rehabilitation support. Our goal is to assist him with these expenses so he and his family can focus on recovery.

Humour is encouraged as Matt will be reading all of this soon and we would love to see that cheeky smile as soon as possible.
