Get Mum to New York

Our names are Tuesday, Paris, and Kian.

We have an absolutely amazing mum that some of you may know, Susan.

Last year, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metatastic small cell lung cancer, and at the time of her diagnosis last June, we were told she'd be lucky to see the end of the week.

With the help of Nottingham City Hospital's amazing oncology team, and what we think is probably Mum having so much FOMO she refuses to die - she's still here, and we are so grateful and lucky to get this time with her. As her daughters, we want to make sure mum gets to achieve her dreams before she is too ill to do so.

Mums dream our whole lives has been that she really wants to go to New York to visit family she hasn't had the chance to meet. We're taking her to NYC at the end of October: The cost of flights, accommodation and so on are all sorted, the big stumbling block is insuring someone with a terminal illness.

We are massively struggling with the cost of Insurance for the travel as mums insurance decided to terminate her travel insurance last June without telling her, and its looking to be between £1,800 - £2,000 for insurance. Anything that doesn't go towards this will be donated to Maggies Centre Nottingham.
