Get Olivia to the Manhattan School of Music

Hi friends! My name is Brooke and I am making this GoFundMe for my insanely talented little sister Olivia, who just got into the Manhattan School of Music for the cello!

If you don’t already know her, Olivia is one of the most humble and hardworking people you will ever meet. The passion she has for the cello combined with the years of time and energy she has put into her craft makes her playing absolutely breathtaking. So much so, that she has recently been admitted into one of the best music programs in the country. Being invited to study at MSM is an incredible opportunity that I don’t want her to have to pass up. As well all know the cost of college is daunting, and even with her 4.5 GPA and impressive resume, the amount of scholarships schools can offer only goes so far. I want to do anything I can to help her make this dream a reality because she’s earned it. Every little bit helps and I am so grateful for anything that can be donated.

Olivia Schulte is a cellist in her senior year at Saguaro High School in Arizona. She began playing the cello when she was 10 years old and never stopped. She has been playing with the Youth Symphony of the Southwest since her Freshman year of high school, and last year she began playing professionally with West Valley Symphony. She has subbed for other orchestras as well including Music Nova and Cinematic Pop. She has also participated in many seasonal music programs such as AMEA Regionals and All State, String Quartet Camp and Bass Workshop, NYU Summer Strings, International Cello Institute Winter Session, Rocky Ridge Junior Arts Seminar, and most impressively the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC where she will return this year.
