Get One Sugar Stirred to the Left to the Fringe!!

We're excited to announce that Karekare Productions, a new theatre company established by writer/musician Jon Lawrence, is going to be bringing its premiere piece to the Edinburgh Fringe!

The show, 'One Sugar, Stirred to the Left', is a slice-of-life play with music centred around the patients, visitors and staff in a hospice. We hope that the show will be cathartic for people who've witnessed or been involved in end-of-life care, as well as shining a light on the incredible work done in hospices. The initial motivation for writing the show was Jon's own experience of life in a hospice prior to his Father's death, and he hopes to use this show to give back to the incredible people who helped him and his family.

We're really excited to bring this show to the Fringe but this does unfortunately require quite a lot of fundraising! Money raised through this crowdfunder will be used to pay for all aspects of production, including venue costs, Fringe registration, set and marketing costs. Any money that you're able to contribute will go a long way to allowing us to bring this show to audiences at one of the greatest arts festivals in the world.

We're also simultaneously fundraising for Hospice UK - 25% of all money raised will be donated to the charity to help fund the amazing work they do.
