Get our Stingrays to CIMI!

Hi, my name is Haley Drecksage. I teach 7th and 8th grade science at Coastal Montessori Charter School in Pawleys Island, SC. This Spring, I will be taking a small handful of my ocean-loving CMCS Stingrays to the Catalina Island Marine Institute on Catalina Island, CA. Here they will have the opportunity to go snorkeling and kayaking in some of the most pristine waters in our country. They will hike on the mountainous slopes of Catalina Island with views you only see in postcards. They will learn about our world's oceans and how we can protect them. But, most importantly, they will build life-long relationships and memories. CMCS will be one of the very first East Coast schools to have ever visited CIMI! Unfortunately, traveling cross-country and to an island at that is no easy feat. This will require extensive travel plans that will be at cost to our scholars.
