Get Out the Vote Letter Campaigns!

The Cherry Street community is reaching out today to ask for financial assistance regarding a Get Out the Vote endeavor!
We are volunteering with Supermajority, in partnership with Vote Forward, and are focused on engaging first time women voters and under-represented women in strategic states, providing them with information and resources to vote in November. Over the next 40 days until the election, our house has committed to weekly letter writing campaigns, text banking and phone banking to coach folks through the process of filling out the voter registration forms, asking if they received the ballots in the mail, & if so, urging them to fill them out!
In order to reach more women we are asking for extra assistance with postage and printing costs for the letter writing campaigns. For each letter sent, it costs 55 cents per postage stamp, 17 cents to print the form that we fill out by hand, and 17 cents for an envelope. In total, it costs roughly 89 cents per letter. Our goal is for each house member to send 40 letters a week in the next month, which is a total of 960 letters. While we know it may not be possible to fundraise and receive enough donations for $850, we are reaching out to friends and family to see if anybody can pitch in! We have already received $140 in donations from lovely community members, which sets our goal to $710!
