Get Parent to Parent Rolling Again

Due to the pandemic and recent uprising in Minneapolis many communities are without their local stores leaving many without access to food and daily care items. Parent to Parent group has been hosting pop-up distribution sites to help those in the community receive the important items that they need.

John Martin who runs the Parent to Parent group said, "We have no stores around here, we have no bank, we have no pharmacy, so every little bit helps."

On Tuesday, June 30, the trailer that the group had been using to hold these essential supplies such as food, diapers, hygiene products, and other daily care items was stolen. On Wednesday, July 1, the trailer was found damaged and many of the items inside the trailer were either stolen or damaged.

The trailer was returned to the church Parent to Parent was loaning it from. A generous individual has stepped up and is allowing Parent to Parent to borrow their trailer until the money is raised for the group to get a van. 

As of July 15, a local church will be giving Parent to Parent a vehicle and trailer to help them continue to do their important work in the community. The money from this fundraiser will go toward getting insurance on the new vehicle and trailer, as well as storage for the vehicle.

On July 20, John who runs the Parent to Parent group ask that the fundraiser be shut down as he felt that enough money had been raised. Thank you for your support!

Brianna has been working with a group of community members in Hudson, WI to collect donations for John's Parent to Parent group. When dropping off donations she learned about the trailer and offered to start a Go Fund Me to help out John and the wonderful work he is doing in his community.
