Get Peripals to the AWP in Kansas City!

Dear friends, comrades, and homies,

As many of you know, this past year I have had the privilege of being a Periplus fellow. Aside from the 1-1 mentorship I have received, I have also met a community of deeply aligned writers who have become friends and have helped me shape my practice in ways I could never have imagined before.

Together, we organize interviews and panels, and readings; we go to events; we support each other in applying to opportunities and uplifting our fellows’ work. It's beautiful, it's the way I always want to live, with generosity and care.

For us writers, AWP is the conference to be at: every year, thousands of us end up in the same city and we go to panels and events and network with the industry. We also get to see friends from all over the country. This year the AWP is happening in Kansas City, and we're fundraising to get:

1- Housing for at least 4 Peripals who would not be able to attend AWP otherwise. We will be sharing accommodations and getting cozy together.

2- The cost for a venue so that we can organize a public reading event and have industry people hear all the wonderful and beautiful stories we have to tell.
