Get RBMS and Weatherbee Chess Teams to Nationals

Help make a difference for 24 excited kids and one proud chess coach who are heading to Nationals to represent Maine! Both teams have worked hard all year, traveling to U.S. Chess events throughout the state, and on March 11 they won the 2023 Maine Scholastic Team Chess Championships!

In less than one month, Mr. Bishop and 14 students from Reeds Brook Middle School will compete at the U.S. Chess Federation 2023 National Middle School (K-8) Championship, from April 21-23 in Round Rock, Texas.

Just three weeks later, Mr. Bishop and 10 students from Weatherbee Elementary school will follow suit in the 2023 National Elementary (K-6) Championship from May 12-14 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The total cost of sending both teams to nationals is estimated at $50,000, and families only have a few weeks raise the funds. Your tax-deductible donation will help ensure that all eligible students are able to participate.
