Our full budget is much bigger, but we need funds to get started, from legal expenses, to hiring a line producer to ensure our budget is nailed down & our shoot date is scheduled… among many, many unanticipated needs that WILL arise.

A recap of the STORY of SEAHORSE:

New England Power couple Caroline and Chris Shaughnessy have it all... except a baby. Despite endless efforts, year after year, their hopes are dashed by disappointment-- until one day, they're finally pregnant. But tragedy hits when they learn the unthinkable: Caroline is 20 weeks pregnant and also has a rare form of cancer. Now, this unbreakable marathon runner and her rock-solid soulmate have to decide between their unborn child’s life and Caroline’s.

Cultural Context: Female protagonist, character-driven, love story with the odds stacked against them. An underdog story, surrounded by a loving, flawed, annoying, east coast family who provide enough laughs to keep it real and avoid the trap of melodrama.

Seahorse examines the marvel of the HUMAN BODY - and what ONE WOMAN will endure to fight for the life of her unborn child, while her own is debilitated by CANCER.
