My sister Kelli has Stage 4 metastatic cancer. She has been on this journey for almost 6 years. Through ups and downs, she has kept her smile and continues to share life's joys with others. She has inspired so many and we can all only hope to lead the way she does.
This summer she came back to Michigan with her boys to visit family and we made our traditional family strawberry freezer jam, which we call "Kelli Jelly". Her plan was to stay until the end of July in Michigan, but her symptoms became so severe, she had to go back to California for emergency treatment. In all the chaos, she forgot to pack up the Kelli Jelly. We simply cannot have Kelli sad. We must bring her happiness! So, the journey is on. My husband Shawn and I are renting a car, packing up the Kelli Jelly, and heading west to spread the joy (see what I did there?) that is Kelli.
