Get the LMA LEGO Lions to Massachusetts!

Hi, Everyone! Our LMA Lions Lego League team (4th-8th Grade) recently finished 3rd in the regional FIRST LEGO League robotics tournament at Penn State Behrend, making them the top team in Erie County, PA and earning them a spot at the international invitational tournament host at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. 84 teams from around the world will compete in this contest. Can you help them get there?

This year's team (Maddie, Marshall, Mitchell, Sam, Lincoln, Michael, and Wyatt) was "Super Powered," utilizing microgrids and flow batteries to create their project. Cool stuff! But they need to raise $10,000 to get from Erie, PA to Worcester, MA.

Two years ago, LMA LEGO Lions won the regional Innovative Solution Award, for having the top research project, which studied how to renovate Cascade Park to increase accessibility, with a focus on people with Autism. The team researched, developed, and presented a concept, as well as developed a coalition of supporters in the community.

Last year, they designed and built a prototype QR-code-secured package delivery safe, designed to secure residential package deliveries and reduce deliveries to incorrect addresses.

These kids are ready to go for the gold. The trip is 5 days and 4 nights of great engineering and great fun. Help us show the world what Erie, PA has to offer!
