Get Timothy and Daniel to Redemption Nationals!

This is on behalf of Timothy Sarnecky and Steven Gonzales two 12th grade students at North Bend High School in North Bend, Oregon desiring to attend the 2023 Redemption CCG National Tournament. They have both been playing Redemption CCG since spring 2020 and are the two foremost teenage players in the North Bend/Coos Bay Redemption playgroup. This play group has close to 20 members currently and is the westernmost active group in the United States being located on the Oregon coast. The group is mostly made up of jr. high/high school students and is growing. That being said with the group being so far west the group is very far from Nationals each year. In light of that this year it was decided an effort would be made for the top two teen players in the group to attend Nationals. Plane tickets have been bought for both of them and we are stepping forward hoping to get the cost of these tickets fundraised.
For those not familiar: Redemption is a wonderful card game based on the Bible with every card having a Scripture reference on it. It is a great way for people of all ages to fellowship around the Bible, learn more about it, and have fun. It is a wholesome alternative to games like Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, and Yug-i-Oh. Tournaments happen around the United States for players who are competitive at the game and the National Tournament is where all the best players gather to compete for the National Championship. The 2023 National Tournament is in Tennessee.
Timothy Sarnecky (17 years old) is set to graduate this year from North Bend High School and is a varsity wrestler at the high school. He wants to become a high school teacher some day and an athletic director for a high school. He loves the Lord and is a dedicated member of his youth group at Skyline Baptist Church in North Bend, OR. His best results in Redemption include 2nd place in Type 1-2 Player at the 2022 Northwest Regional Tournament, 2nd place at the 2022 Oregon State Tournament, and 2nd place at the 2020 Oregon State Tournament. Timothy is pictured with top Redemption player Jay Chambers after a local tournament where Timothy placed 2nd to Jay having a 4-5 loss to Jay pushing him to the wire. Currently Timothy has had the best results out of any teen in the group. Timothy desires to win Nationals someday.
Daniel Mazzucchi is a jr. high youth leader at our church and is 19 years old. His best result in Redemption is 6th place in Type 1-2 Player at the 2023 Northwest Regional Tournament. Daniel has only been playing Redemption for close to a year and has been making huge progress.
