Get Victor An Art Week Miami Booth - Art Basel

Hi, my name is Victor, and I am 14 years old. I am raising funds to be able to pay for a 10-foot wall to exhibit my art at Art Week Miami, during Art Basel at Mana in Wynwood, Miami, Dec 1-4, 2022. I am offering an 8 by 8 inch 200 page+ art book of all my paintings from 2021 for people that send me $100 to get to this big art show. I was born and raised in Boca Raton, FL. After a few years, when I got to Kindergarten, they noticed something about me was special. I was not like all the other kids. I was obsessed with monster cut-outs. In fact, I spent much of my free time drawing and creating monsters and images from my dreams.

Around the same time, they sent me for a diagnosis. That's how you get an IEP, a special program in school where they meet with you and help you out. I was diagnosed with on-the-spectrum disorder, OCD and ADHD, previously called Asbergers.

But that has not slowed me down at all. I am great with people, very funny, and have recently done some traveling to NYC. I have been tested for a super high IQ, I am good at math and I am able to get through school, even a special Palm Beach County magnet school for STEM students called Don Estridge. I am entering high school this August, and I am planning on going to college.

Beginning in 2021, my family promoted me to enter a real art show, especially one in particular, that was a socially distanced pandemic show in February 2021 in Deerfield Beach, FL. I prepared 16 artworks, paint, and pen on 12 by 12-inch wood. My mother, father and my younger brother Max all helped set up my booth and helped work the art show. I forgot to mention I don't like pencils, most fruits, chalkboards, and things that don't sound or feel right. Anyway, at that first show, I sold 7 paintings and had one stolen during that two-day show.

At that first show, I met a guy named Steev, who printed a local artist profile magazine. He became a big fan and had me profiled in the magazine called PureHoney Magazine. It was sent to 250 bars and cafes in South Florida where people could view my artwork and read my story.

Since then I have done 8 shows, galleries, and exhibits, and sold over 40 pieces of artwork. My mother built a website for me at https://gudema.com/victor/ which sells my art, T-shirts, and mugs. I had to get a bank account and have had to attend several gallery openings.

Earlier this year, Spectrum Miami run by Red Dot Art Gallery accepted me to display and sell my artwork at this show from December 1-4, 2022. The problem is I need around $2,500 to sign up and reserve the space. And beyond that, I will need possible another $1,000 or more to cover our travel, hotel, food, and possibly hiring someone to be at the show when our family is not around. Any dollars we raise above $2,500 will be used for future shows and to promote my art or my education.
