Get well soon Nadine!

Dear friends - We are writing to ask you to support our friend, Nadine Benjamin - international star soprano, high performance coach and friend and mentor to so many!

She is suffering from severe and debilitating complications from Long Covid and needs 24hour care to keep her safe and help her get back on her feet. She has had to withdraw from lots of high profile concerts this season - and so has a considerable loss of earnings.

As the NHS does not currently have an in-patient Long Covid facility, she is currently in a private hospital, recovering, and unable to function fully or work.

We would like to support her to stay for another 3 weeks so she can return home at least being able to function in the most basic way. Her first dilemma will be having to get up 75 steps to her home.

Long Covid is a complicated multifaceted disease, and we are hoping to raise at least £30,000 in order for Nadine to have access to all the specialists that can treat the multiple issues that Covid has caused.

Her current diagnosis is Severe Long Covid, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), asthma, shortness of breath, health anxiety, acute gastric issues, dizzy spells and hyper-sensitivity… and she is still waiting for more test results to explain other symptoms. Nadine’s health insurance is running out, so if we can raise funds to pay for three further weeks in a private hospital, then this would give Nadine the peace of mind to recover, without triggering the health anxiety she is currently suffering from.

Nadine is very weak at the moment and although is very grateful, cannot personally answer all your lovely phone calls and texts so we will endeavour to keep this page updated with her progress.
