Have you ever had a dream so big it changed everything? 
Meet Beckie Hacker, a vet tech extraordinaire who, after attending to thousands of elite canine athletes on the sideline of Midwest races, had a big change of her big heart.
She admired the tight bonds mushers forged with their dog teams, training for hundreds and hundreds of miles under tough conditions that require grit and trust--and she knew she had to have that, too. So she gave up the comfort of a house in the suburbs and a profession in which she was highly admired. She built with her own two hands a trailer to travel with her dogs and she moved to Alaska during the summer and a remote cabin in the winter to live her dream. 
In fact, that's what she calls her racing team: Dream Big Kennel (DBK)! Beckie's dream is to run the 1000+ grueling Iditarod Sled Dog Race across Alaska. She's got one qualifying race under her belt (the UP 200). And now she's going after her second qualifier - the John Beargrease Sled Dog Race in Minnesota, which starts January 31, 2016.

Diamond is a leader from Al Hardman's kennel. She's a young dog that is very good up front! She will go through anything and is not a quitter! Her dad, Eider, was out of Susan Butchers kennel and was a multiple Iditarod finisher in lead for Al. Her all business attitude she definitely got from him!

Vanny is out of the Chief Vet Litter (ToftexAlpine) and he is doing fantastic! He has run in lead a little bit but Beckie is focusing on his work ethic and drive instead of his brains at the moment! He is a hard worker and is training with the big dogs for racing this season!
