Submitting DNA in Japan for Skye Budnick’s case
Donation protected
Sixteen years have passed since my sister Skye Budnick took a one-way trip from Connecticut to Japan. Skye never told anyone her plans and was never seen again. Over the years our family has been met with bureaucratic roadblocks leaving us with more questions than answers.
The Southington Police, with the help of Interpol, was able to get into contact with the Japanese Government. They were informed that a new DNA sample was needed due to new technologies being used. The familial DNA we provided at the time of her disappearance was deemed insufficient and the Japanese police would only except the DNA sample in person, leaving us with no choice but to launch a GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of traveling to Japan.
We refuse to give up hope and remain determined to uncover the truth behind her disappearance. With the Japanese officials now requesting our presence in Japan to submit additional DNA samples, we are reaching out to our community for support.
Your contributions will not only help cover the expenses of our trip to Japan but also provide us with the opportunity to seek justice for our missing sister. Every donation brings us one step closer to finding the answers we have been desperately seeking for the past sixteen years. Together, let's ensure that no stone is left unturned in our quest to bring Skye home.
Join us in our journey to shed light on this heartbreaking mystery and provide closure to our family. Your support means more than words can express.
