Getting Better: a recovery fund for Bob Santomasso

**UPDATE 7/31/19**

Thank you every one for your love and support. Bob has made a miraculous recovery, and is now back at home. His heart is steady and strong, and he is slowly gaining strength back in his left leg. We are amazed and so grateful. Our family appreciates each and every one of you for helping us at such a frightening time. It means the world to us.

On Friday April 12, Bob was taken to the emergency room after collapsing in his kitchen at home. At the hospital it was determined that he had tear in his aorta. Due to the type of tear, there was internal bleeding which resulted in a stroke. Bob was immediately brought in for emergency heart surgery, which went well. There is brain function and the doctors are hopeful, but there is a long and winding road ahead. 

We are heartened by your calls, texts, good vibes, and prayers. Thank you so much for being there for us in our time of need.

If you are able, we would also appreciate your support in any amount you feel you can give. The cost for medical bills can be prohibitive. Day-to-day bills are piling up. Looking ahead, we don't know when Bob will return to work, if ever. As you can imagine, it's a frightening time for our family. There are many unknowns.

Your help will lighten our burden and help us to focus on what's important: helping Bob recover.
