Getting Bolt on All Four Paws again

Today Bolt escaped from our backyard and got hit by a car leaving him with a broken leg. Our options are to put him down, amputate his leg, or a surgery that will cost about $3500 and I desperately need your help to get him back on all fours.

 

As soon as I realized he was gone, I posted on Facebook and headed out to look for him around my neighborhood. It wasn't long before I received a call from the humane society letting me know that they had found a dog in the same area that had been hit by a car and was in the ER. The humane society was informed by the driver that the dog was a female with a purple collar but Bolt is a male and has a grey collar.

 

On the longest 15 minute drive to the hospital, I was hoping with every fiber of my being that they had found a different dog and that Bolt was somehow safe with a neighbor in our area, but that wasn't the case. When I arrived at the ER I was informed of our options for Bolt: an amputation, a surgery that will cost me around $3500, or putting him down. I tried my best to make him comfortable at home and stabilize his leg but he is in so much pain.

 

I am currently working two jobs, studying full time, and I just paid for my tuition and don't have enough to afford the surgery for Bolt. It has been hard but Bolt always manages to brighten my day. If you can donate or simply share, Bolt and I would appreciate it!
