Getting custody of disabled children back.

I've been taking care of my kids diligently for the last six years, on my own. I have had to fight for them, their disability, to get them into the correct doctors, therapy, and the works. They are my entire life and being.

I've always tried to co-parent with their dad. Who wouldn't go to their doctor appointments. Even when I let him schedule them around his own schedule. I've had to fight for child support among other things. I thought it was getting better. He wanted to see them for longer periods, when before he didn't want anything to do with the youngest and I had to literally make him see her by saying, if you want to see your son, you have to see your daughter too!

So a few weeks ago I went on a small trip for my birthday. I had never left out of state or been away that long from them before, but they are a bit older, so..... He wanted the kids longer then the trip, but I had no problem with it because I was glad he wanted to spend time with them. I didn't know it at the time, but even before I had left for my trip he had gone behind my back and told a bunch of lies to CPS to get emergency care of my kids and take my custody away. I only learned about it on my way back, when he suddenly wouldn't let me talk to my son anymore on the phone. I wasn't informed about any of this, and I only figured out most of what he had done and told them a few days after I got back. Now I have to prove I'm a fit parent and that everything he's said is nothing but farce. Which I have all the records and what not, but I'm not a lawyer. He has a lawyer. I don't. He has more money. I don't, because they're disabled and I'm their constant care taker.

Both children are considered disabled. Matthias is less so, but is autistic with ADHD, requiring medication for proper school work and focus, along with other things. Esmeralda, is also autistic. However she is also non-verbal, for the most part, has PICA, is incontinent, has sensory issues and episodes, and is a severe flight risk to the point where the doctors and the police require her to wear a tracker.

Not only do I not have the kids, he has changed all their doctors and is completely ignoring everything their doctors from the past five years have said. He removed her tracker. This is damaging for them, though I can't do anything until court, and again, I'm not a lawyer. If I had been properly informed, I would have an entire month to prepare, but I wasn't. I would say more about things he's done, but I don't want to get in trouble for it, if that's possible, I don't know?

 I'm in the process of getting all the paperwork, loads of IEPs, medical  and otherwise statements from all their therapists and specialists. I have concrete prove, images, videos, records, everything that proves my point and that they should be returned to me so they can be taken care of properly. But, like I said, I'm not a lawyer, and the courts scare me.

I really need a lawyer. So that's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying other things to get money for the lawyer too, doing small jobs and work for what I can, but I know I can't do it in just three weeks, which is when the court date is, Sept. 10th. Ideally, I don't know how fast lawyers work or anything, so I don't even know how fast I need one, soon as possible, I would guess, so they'd have time to prepare the case and get everything in order. So that's what the funds would be used for, a custody lawyer. I will not spend any of it on myself. If ANY of it's leftover, when the kids are returned to me, it will be used to help fund their education, schooling, and special needs communication devices (most likely electronic PEC and swimming lessons for Esmeralda.) and etc.

So, let me tell you about them and how amazing they are!

Matthias, his claim to fame is: I want to know all the knowledge in the universe, I want to learn everything that exists!
No seriously, he said that, I'm so proud of him. He's obsessed with documentaries, high level reading books about all the animals he can find, Cuneiform, studies of ancient languages and technology, marine science and biology, the human body and medical sciences, and just about anything he can get his hands on! He does of course love Thomas the Train, Lucas the Spider, Cars, and specially garbage trucks. He has his own FLEET of garbage trucks, and they all have names. I think he has 9 atm, in his bookshelf garage. He wants to clean up the world, recycle everything, pick up everyone's trash, and sometimes he wants to be a weatherman. He teaches his sister everything he knows, too. She picks up random words from him and manages to hold onto them for a while. Like. Megalodon. Gorgonopsid. And.... cowled bus chassis... Matthias and I watch so many documentaries together, and have little parties whenever anything gets a live launch from NASA and Space X, too! We rescue spiders and bees, taking care of them until the rain or snow stops, then let them go back outside after feeding them nicely. He walks around with his orcas, sharks, and spider puppets, to educate others on how spiders are NOT scary and important. He even had his first sewing lesson with me before he left.

Esmeralda, is his polar opposite. She doesn't like furry animals. She loves snakes, turtles, and animals like that! She can even say Snake and Turtle.... Snek, Tuttle. She also loves Fisher Prices talk n play puppy. Obsessively. She has 14 right now, in her room, I think? That's what she wants to pick! Or that oinky dog piggy toy, she LOVES that pig! She absolutely LOVES food, specially fruits and veggies, which are her favorite! She screams because she gets so happy when we go to a farmer market and I let her pick out berries, apples, broccoli, cucumbers, beans, all that! She LOVES salad! Of course, she loves her meats and stuff too, but man does she love her greens and fruit! I think the one set of foods they whole heartedly agree on eating together is: 'nearly any plain meat, like chicken breast, shrimp/clam strips, steak slices, pork chops paired with.................... guess..... macncheese. Always that macncheese! They both love their legos, and recently she started building rather complex designs with them, and doing 75 piece puzzles by herself. She may not talk much, but she's smarter then a lot of people give her credit for! Her weakness are definitely writing, but she managed to start drawing circles this year on her own, and the teachers and therapists were so happy!

I greatly appreciate any help. As said, none of it will be for me, it's all for the lawyer and the kids. They deserve good doctors that know them, and contact with me. I've done nothing but the best I can for them, and I want to keep doing that. 
I miss rolling on the floor like a bug with them. 
I miss screaming and getting super excited whenever a rocket launches with him.
I miss him drawing me pictures of the same animal over and over again.
I miss their hugs. 
I miss their voices.
I miss them so much.
