Getting Josh to the WBC world games in Canada

Hi, my name is Paul; I'm the head coach of Twin Tigers Martial Arts and Boxing Club, based in Honiton, Devon. My student, Josh Smith, has the fantastic opportunity after being selected to represent England in the youth games in Calgary, Canada.

Josh trains fearlessly, always giving his all, whether training, sparring or competing. Unfortunately, at 13 years old, with Josh's fight experience and the lack of competition available in the South West, we constantly have to travel to other parts of the country to compete at his level. He does this with the support and encouragement of his family and team.

Josh had to attend a selection process to earn his place to represent England in the world games. To qualify, he had to show his skills via sparring with other candidates where WBC coaches could assess him.

Through his skill, balance, determination and heart, Josh proved himself a worthy member of the English team - Now to get him there!

To fundraise, we will be holding a disco on the 18th of June; we also are holding a games night at the Honiton gym, where you'll be able to play poker, blackjack and roulette with prizes.

Howeer, we also ask for your support to enable Josh and myself to fly to Canada, to cover the cost of the hotels and kit.
