Getting my dad out of Venezuela
Donation protected
Hi all,
I am raising money to get my dad (63 years old) out of Venezuela.
After President Nicolás Maduro as his loyalists on the Supreme Court seized power from the National Assembly (Congress) in a ruling a few days ago, the country -which had already collapsed from a polical and economical perspective- is now under a formal dictatorship and chaos: shortage on food and medicines, demontrations and shootings on the streets, riots and looting.
My dad was hospitalized for over a week due to a minor illness that could have been cured with an over the counter medicine but it could not be found anywhere in the country.
My wish is to get him out Venezuela as soon as possible and send him to Spain (where he has legal documentation). I am setting a working plan for him as a handyman - the idea came from my memories as a child when he was reparing everything at home-.
I will use the $1,500 for the flights (over $1,000 from Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela to Madrid, Spain) and $500 to get him settle in Madrid and cover food for a month and part of the investment for the tools he will need to start working. I will support him along the way until he starts receiving an income.
With the help of all of you, we will be able to allow him to have a decent life.
Thank you, this would mean a lot to me ad we can change his life!
