UPDATE - Help us bring Phil Baker back to Jersey!
Donation protected
UPDATE: Phil has been accepted to a facility in New Jersey for further treatment and care! We are focusing our goal on paying for a portion of his medical transportation back from Florida. We need to raise at least $9,000 (in addition to what has been raised so far) to get him home. No donation is insignificant and we deeply appreciate every single cent that people are able to give. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to your social media to help us reach more people. We want to seize this opportunity to bring Phil back to the many friends and family who can support his recovery and aid his healing.

On the evening of February 17th, 2024, our family received a phone call that no family should ever have to receive. Our dad, Phil Baker, was in a serious motorcycle accident near his home in Florida and sustained a severe head injury. He was in a coma after having emergency surgery and his chances of survival were unclear. All the doctor could offer us was the opinion that things didn’t look good.
In the 3 weeks since Phil’s accident, his future is still very uncertain. The one certainty for our family is that we want to give Phil the best chance at recovery. Our ultimate goal is to bring him back to New Jersey where he can be surrounded by familiar people and supported by his entire family.
Arranging Phil’s care and planning for his future is a full time job right now, and involves many unexpected costs. None of us were prepared for something like this, and the amount of money required to provide that support has been overwhelming.
We are relying on the generosity of Phil’s extended community to help us support his recovery in Florida and his eventual transport home. All money donated to this fundraiser will go toward the following costs: medical bills; lodging, food, and transportation for Phil’s daughter Lindsey who is staying in Florida to provide 24/7 oversight of his care; costs associated with non-medical aspects of his life, such as a storage unit for his belongings; and the cost of transporting him home to New Jersey when we are able to do so. Any amount of money donated, no matter how small, will allow Phil’s family to focus on what truly matters: his safety, comfort, and recovery.
We all know that Phil is a survivor, and we’re all hoping and praying that he wakes up and shows us just how much of a survivor he really is.
