Getting Pete back on his feet
Donation protected
Hey folks, Kevin Bayless Here. It took a while to convince Pete to let me do this, so let's do this right.
It's a crazy world we are in right now; a bunch of people all over the world are hurting.
Hurricane Ian washed away the lives of so many, something I've seen in the two trips taken down to Cape Coral. There were damaged houses, tarps on roofs, and tree's down everywhere you went. The closer to the water you got, the more the boats started showing up in people's yards, the entire contents of people's houses piled in the front yards; we didn't even try to get to the coast.
Thankfully, Pete's house faired better than some and not as well as others. The damage is all over the place. But it is getting put back together as I type this. Pete has absorbed all of the associated costs with this disaster and has his home going back together again. However, he still has some hurdles, no flood insurance, a high deductible on his homeowner's policy, sheetrock, landscape repair, pool repair, rescreening, replaced flooring, etc... All while trying to deal with some severe health issues.
This fund is to help get Pete back. I wanted to ask for a Billion dollars, but that idea was shut down; I'd give him a million if I had it. I'd like to see a representation of our community's respect and care for my friend, so please give what you can.
On that note, if we reach our goal, I will personally donate a custom-made 8-foot Rok in icarex. Anyone donating $400.00 or more will have their names thrown in a hat, and Pete will pull the winner. The winner will get to pick their color theme for the kite.
Anyone donating $200.00 or more will receive a name in the hat for 4-foot Rok.
Thanks in advance for your help.
