Getting settled in a new home after crisis

My youngest sister, Erica Holding Eagle, passed away on September 24, 2020, at the age of 34. She leaves behind her son, Walter, age 11, and her daughter Willa, age 8.

These much-loved little ones are living with our mom now. They already have a strong bond and will be a safe place for them as they heal together and move forward.

However, this does involve moving out of their former apartment in one city and into another 250 miles away, where my mom lives and works. This also requires her moving into a larger apartment that will facilitate her grandchildren (and their three cats).

So I am arranging this fundraiser to help cover the costs of settling into a new home: a moving truck, storage (combining two households isn’t easy), and cleaning, plus getting the kids’ rooms set up. Any excess funds will go towards the costs of upgrading my mom’s vehicle to better accommodate two children.
