Getting Tanner to Loretta Lynn’s
Tanner Dorman is 11 years old and lives in Kerhonkson, NY. His love for dirt bikes began when he was 3. He started racing by competing in Supermoto at their local race track - Oakland Valley Race Park. For many years the Hannen Compound at OVRP was like a second home for Tanner and his family. He won championships every year there since he started racing! He has also competed competitively in NY Mini GP, NJ Mini GP, NEMM ( New England Moto's & Mini's) and SMEC ( Supermoto East Coast). He decided a few years ago that he wanted to transition to motocross, but it wasn't in the cards for his family until fall 2020. Tanner was always naturally gifted in riding dirt, even though most of his life he trained on asphalt. He branched out to try NY and NJ Mini GP but still found himself wanting to follow the MX path. He is now fully committed to motocross and following his dream of making it to the Loretta Lynn's National! He currently attends Metropolitan Sports Committee in the northeast region. He is working hard to try to achieve his goals; placements, training, and determination are showing the progress he needs to succeed!
Tanner would like to thank his parents for their support and help, Favata's TRT Bicycles , Oakland Valley Race Park and Ron Rothkranz for coaching him. This past weekend Tanner went 5-5-8 and got his ticket in to Loretta Lynn’s! His family and friends are beyond proud of him. Please help us make this experience for Tanner and his family an unforgettable one. Many people have followed Tanner since his younger years and are eager to help support him, this is a good area to have donations anyone would like to make in one place for easy access to all that have reached out. Let’s help this kid achieve his dream!
