Getting to the Pan-Ams and beyond!

Kaiya is once again ranked number one in the nation in her division by USA Judo. She has, for the second year in a row, earned her spot to compete Internationally in the Pan-American games, to be held this year in Panama. She had to decline her spot last year due to financial inability. This year, she is one of only 10 judoka picked to competitively represent NANKA in this year's Quebec Open! She is excited to say the least! 10 years of dedication and hard work are paying off. Now is the time to be intensely focused, but she needs your help.

This is all part of Kaiya’s plan to represent the USA on the podium at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Maybe you can come?

Judo is the second most popular sport in the world behind soccer/football. Many governments provide potential future Olympic Judoka with funding, and corporate sponsorship abounds. Not so in the US, athletes can be partially funded once they make Team USA but they need to compete to get there and corporate sponsorship is slim.

Between travel, entry fees, food, coaching, hotels, gi’s and training camps competing at a National level can cost upward of $10,000 dollars annually! Deadlines are looming- the Quebec Open is November 4-6, requiring arrival in Canada by the 3rd- and the Pan American Championships are November 25-26 but we must confirm her spot by this Wednesday, September 21st. We need to fundraise in order to get her there.

We are asking for donations and corporate sponsorships.
