Get Vanessa Cycling Again

Hi, my name is Vanessa; I'm fundraising for a recumbent trike specially adapted to ride as horizontal as possible. I used to ride my bike a lot before my life became mainly horizontal back in 2010, since then I've discovered I can still swim (horizontal), but it's not an effective mode of transport to get to our allotment or visit friends (sadly, we don't live next to a river).

I'd love to be able to visit my friends independently and also hope to accompany Paul on bike rides too, meaning we have more activities we can do together.

The funds will go towards the £7500 Adventure HD Ice Trike and adaptions to make it possible to ride with minimal pain. Any additional funds over the purchase price will be given to a disability cycling charity.

For those who don't know, I've been dealing with the effects of an ongoing spinal fluid leak and intracranial hypotension since January 2010, meaning I'm in huge amounts of pain when doing anything upright, from sitting to standing. I'm sure you can imagine how limiting this is. Which is why being able to cycle flat is essential.
