Getting Vicki safely back in the pool.
Donation protected
Hi there, my name is Leonie and I'm here hoping to raise much needed funds for our beautiful dear friend Vicki Prins. As most of you are already aware Vicki has Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Vicki's condition has deteriorated significantly causing the loss of function in her legs. Vicki has lived her life by the sea swimming most days and is devastated she can no longer do so independently. Thankfully she has access to a community beach wheelchair which she can use thanks to the Bicheno Life Saving Club, this has been a huge blessing. What we are hoping for by doing this Go Fund Me campaign is to raise funds for a portable swim hoist that Vicki can use to get safely into her local pool giving her body the feeling of weightless and freedom she so desperately misses. Being a local retired teacher Vicki is such a valued member of our community and is always thinking of others in need and her wish for this portable pool hoist is not only for herself to use but for anyone in the wider community who has a disability or medical condition that would benefit from such a hoist. Having a portable pool hoist in the community would be such an asset for the lives of people living with all levels of disability. It will allow them to be lowered safely into the pool in their wheel chairs and into the weightlessness of the water. Bringing much joy, relief, freedom and independence to each individual in the water as well as creating beautiful memories. So please if you're in a position to do so any donation is greatly appreciated. We thank you all. Let's get Vicki in the pool!!
