On September 8th Diamond Jonise, on her 23rd birthday was traveling in an RV to New York for fashion week to participate in the events. She is an aspiring model who was following her dream along with 7 other fashion colleagues when they were involved in an terrible accident with an 18 wheeler. 2 of the young women succumbed to their injuries and Diamond was left critically injured with fractures to her spine, pelvis areas and multiple other injuries. She’s undergone 3 surgeries, multiple other procedures and she’s currently paralyzed from her waist down. We’re in the process of getting her transported from Virginia to Louisiana to began her intensive acute rehabilitation. It is our prayer that she gets the best possible care for a favorable outcome. Diamond is a recent college graduate and a Fall 2019 initiate of the Mu Nu chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority-INC .
